-          Vocabulary is a key factor in writing an effective article as it can make or break your work. Critically needed words can upgrade your writing, yet poorly chosen words can botch it out. So, look for the significant words in the subject of your writing and sprinkle some of the best ones you think are helpful. You can use a dictionary to look up beneficial words, and you can also take a glance at other writings to see what kind of words the authors selected to improve their article. If you want to stay up to date, you can also check social media applications and listen to relevant podcasts to take advantage of the daily concepts discussed or shared in such platforms.

-          Read it out loud! This is advice you have probably been given before in terms of checking your writing, and yes, it is useful. However, there is a twist here that you can definitely consider. Do not read your article right after you finish it! You will be surmised that your work is great and has no problem at all. This is because you are super familiar with your work at that exact time and this is quite an unhealthy period to go over your work. Leave your writing, go and execute other jobs to blow off some steam. If you get alienated even just a little bit to your work, it will be much easier to approach your writing with a critical and revising attitude.
